Reflections as I prepare for the future

AS I GROW OLDER

1.If I have crumbs on my chest after eating, please let me know or brush them off for me.
2. When my eyebrows get long enough to braid, please cut them.
3. Please let me do what I can as long as I can until I can't. I will always be fiercely independent.
4. Don't view me as old until I really am, and I not until I admit it myself.
5. Realize that when I get old enough to need help, it will very difficult for me to ask for it and realize how much I appreciate it.
6. There's a difference between being older and being old. I'm not there yet.
7. If you see me being quiet with a tear in my eye, it doesn't necessarily mean that I am sad. I may be being thankful for the life that the Lord has given me so far.
8. When it comes to personal care it will be harder on me than it will be on you.
9. Your kindness, love, and patience will mean the world to me.
10. Please keep reminding me that Jesus loves me.
