Trump vs. Biden: God Is Testing Us

I know life isn't supposed to be easy, but come on. Our choice in the next USA presidential election is a raving madman without any morals or someone who seems like he's a decent guy and a great grandfather (which works both ways...a really nice grandfather or old enough to be someone's great grandfather). I don't want a lunatic. I don't want a brontosaurus either.

Let's start with the lunatic. I'm referring to Trump. If I had to narrow it down to one thing I'm most scared about Trump it would be "everything."
I just don't understand why people don't care about ethics anymore. What confuses me more is that I have friends that like him and will vote for him. How is that possible? These are good, decent, educated people! I just don't understand it. What's even scarier is that you have almost half the country that is willing to put Trump in office. How in the hell did that happen?

There are a few main things I don't like about Trump that even people who like him can't rationally argue with. They just deflect and say, "Well, what about Hillary?" or "What about Biden's son?" Either doesn't matter because I just want an actual answer to my question. Didn't anyone read, "The Emperor Wears No Clothes?" We all know Trump is a liar. We all know he has no morals. We all know he's completely nuts. Isn't that enough not to elect him? I don't even think we need to get into all the indictments against him. I won't even harp on what he tried to do in Georgia, the Ukraine situation, his attempt to become a dictator....forget all of that. I just want someone who is rational, decent, and actually has the best interests of the country as their main priority. Yet, stunningly, I know many rational, decent, USA loving people that would vote for this guy. I'm not looking for a fight. (Quite the contrary; I could use a hug). I just don't understand it. If you explain it to me so I can wrap my head around it then I'll be happy to shut up.

Now, there's Biden. I like him. I really do. I'm not an idiot. I understand politicians can be likable and then behind the scenes could still be a piece of crap. However, based on all the evidence and Biden's history, he seems rational, decent, and loves the USA. So why do so many people literally say hateful things about him? Did he take a dump on their car? Did he insult them in a malicious manner? Did he destroy this country? I don't think so. I think he actually saved it.

When Trump lost the election...yes, he actually lost it (that's just a factual statement)..I literally thanked God. I'm not even religious. Not even close. But I was on that day. I was petrified that Biden would drop dead of a stroke before he got sworn in. Every time he started stumbling with a sentence I would pray, "Please God...please...please let Biden finish this sentence. Then he can go take a nap. I just need him to finish this sentence and get off the podium."

The fact that he's already three years into the presidency is kind of a miracle. I thought he would've at least broke his hip by now. Yes, I admit every sentence is a wild adventure with Biden. However, his heart's in the right place. The country is doing okay. We're actually doing a lot better than other countries with dictators running them. But I do understand that even though I like him, he's just too old to be running the country. At his age, it would be impressive if he could just run a Bingo game.

Even as a Democrat, I wish Romney would run. At least he seems rational, decent, and he sure did have courage when he stood up to Trump. I'd even be fine with Christie. I wish Biden would support someone younger and step down. The truth, though, is that we're going to have a really lousy choice next year. The stakes are so damn high. And the world is already a hot mess. No matter whether you are a Republican or Democrat, we should all be praying for the same thing. Let's just have a choice for someone who is competent and decent.
