My Tabby Tiger

Kitty Felix lays sleeping,
or maybe it's just a nap
Listen, now he’s purring.
It's exhausting being a cat.

Today he caught a bunny,
and brought it into the house.
I did not think it funny.
Yesterday it was a mouse.

He catches butterflies also.
I rescue these creatures small,
and lock him inside the door so,
he’ll just play with his ball.

He looks so innocent sleeping.
You'd never guess he's a killer.
See his toes are now twitching,
with dreams of chasing dinner
