Lesson Two. September 26, 2023

Main Truth: God tells His people to tell others about Jesus.

Jesus calls People to Follow Him

“This the B.I.B.L.E, the Bible.” Hold up Bible and flip pages. “The Bible is God’s True Word. The Bible tells us about God, and about Jesus.”

Look at each child.

”Jesus Is God’s son.”

“Jesus saves people.”

”God wants everyone to know Jesus and to love Jesus.” Lean forward

God tells His people,” tap Bible, “to tell others about Jesus.

Lean back and reach for blocks. One longer block, three smaller ones. Hold longer block up for children to see.

”John the Baptist told people about Jesus.” Add one block.

”Andrew told people about Jesus.” Add second block.

”Philip told people about Jesus.” Add final block.

”When we tell people about Jesus, we obey God.”

“Jesus isn’t a lamb that says baa.” Hold up toy lamb. “Lamb is a name God uses for Jesus.”

Scripture Verse: To Good Is So Good. 2X

“Look, the Lamb of God!” Sound excited. Place hands outside of eyes. “Look, the Lamb of God!” Raise voice, bring hands closer. “Look, the Lamb of God!” Raise voice and make binoculars of hands. “John 1:36b.”

Song time: Hand out instruments.

“The Bible,” hold it up, “tells us about Jesus.” The Bible is a Treasure Book. Use ASL for book and you and me.

“Because God sent Jesus, we need to praise Him.” Praise Him, Praise Him. Throw hands in air on praise Him. Also, Obey Him.

“We obey God when we tell others about Jesus.” Trust and Obey. Use motions.

Quiet Time. Sing softly, turn off lights. Try to sit together.
