People confuse love with so many conflicting emotions. What is love? Love is respect. |
World of Ki - Ki is Love *********************************** Ki is Love Love is not complicated, although we often make it seem that way. It is the simplest of emotions when we comprehend what it means to love. We call it love when, if we were being honest, most of the time it is nothing more than lust. It is jealousy when we fail to define and accept our own uncontrollable desires and misconceptions about our relationships and the autonomy of those that attract us for any number of reasons, many of which we do not recognize or understand ourselves. Love is the most selfless objective we may ever experience in our lives, completely ignoring our own needs as we attempt to protect something we only peripherally understand. And yet . . . . . it is the most selfish thing we may ever experience and we can cease to exist because we lose focus on what is important, what is right, what has value and a true legitimacy. Love is not security, and it is not possession. It is the ultimate respect for another person and the reflection of the best that is held deep within our own interpretation of ourselves. It ultimately is not what we emotionally feel for another but what we intellectually and philosophically determine has substance and value within ourselves. I find it intrinsically and profoundly relevant that, as individuals, we learn to do what was suggested by historical personalities, through what we call the ‘Bible’, the 'Torah', the 'Qur'an, and a whole host of 'scriptures and that is we have to learn to love one another (and all of our neighbors) as we love ourselves, the imperative being that we are able to actually do so and recognize the importance of 'self' in our determinations. Love is the culmination of our investigation into our own existence and the discovery of what is important within a legitimate reality. It is the creation of a valid personal philosophy, distinct and independently unique from any other philosophy or ideology that we may come in contact with during our own lifetimes. A philosophy built on our own interpretation of the events that we have encountered on our path where we search for truth, as elusive as that concept may be. It is the development of that set of beliefs where we define a well-considered morality, unique and hopefully consistent and meaningful to ourselves and the epitome of ethical behaviour, compatible with a character of substance and an impeccable integrity that illustrates to the world the validity of those beliefs. Only then can we base our lives, and our love, on something that can be explained by reason and our own innate intelligence, something that can be shared with others, especially those that we may, in time, come to ‘love’, for want of a better word. The concept is specific and determined by each individual on their own terms, and reality will be the only arbiter as to the success and interpretation of that love. Love is not a matter of the heart, although the heart certainly has its own part to play. It is an affair of the mind, of thought and reason, and is ultimately judged not only by its intensity but by its consistency and its ability to translate into appropriate behaviour and inevitably into a relationship that one can be proud of, as an example of what is possible between individuals, even when the feeling may not be reciprocal. Love derives from our philosophy, but it is not about us but about those we love. We love them because of who 'they' are and for that same compatible philosophy that we strive to define and evolve, not dependent on our own desires and expectations. Love simply ‘is’ and it is our objective to experience it, wherever it leads us, and to respect the concept and all the other individuals that we may meet along the way. Love is not the ultimate goal of life, but the reason we live. Love is not a thing to be possessed or to be contained. Love is a way of life and a goal in and of itself. We do not need to love indiscriminately, but we should learn to love simply because we can, and for the simple reason that it’s the right thing to do. Love is not the question, but it is often the answer. **************************************** Ki is Love *************** forever if ever there will be a time when my love shall ever fade it will be at least forever forever, and a day ~ ki ~ *********************** instill Love can instill the strength of a lion and the vulnerability of a newborn lamb it can show you the peace of a summer breeze and lead you to gaze over the edge of the abyss it can never be exactly what you want it to be but it will always be exactly what it is do not fear love, for it inevitably ends in death but embrace love for it is the meaning of life you can search for it if you wish but in the end, it is love that will find you ~ ki ~ ************************ learn you love you lose you hurt you learn you grow you love ~ ki ~ ******************** inevitable Souls . . . . that were forever meant to be always searching patiently waiting relentlessly watching they will meet for a moment or an eternity in this life or another it is . . . . . . . . inevitable ~ ki ~ ************* flame so bright did your flame burn that finding you in the darkness of time was an easy thing ~ ki ~ *********************** understood we were here long before we first met we will be here long after we have parted we have something, you and I a soul that is finally whole, one with itself words need not be said, it is simply understood ~ ki ~ ***************** time time passes when together, hours pass like seconds when apart, they pass not at all but we are soul mates so are never really apart ~ ki ~ **************** still if forever does exist we will still be together then as now ~ ki ~ ******************** starving i tasted your soul and realized . . . . . i had been starving forever ~ ki ~ ****************** body i may love your body but . . . i am in love with your soul ~ ki ~ *********************** one soul mates are never lost from one life to another they patiently await for you for a moment of time a chance encounter or a lifetime it is all the same to both since time ceases to exist when you are one ~ ki ~ ****************** lost i realize that i was not your first sight as a life of wonder opened up before you i was not there with you on the day of your first date when the gift of love began to grow in your heart i may not have been your first kiss and I envy that person the first taste of those lips i may not have been your first love and yet my soul rejoices that you found an instance of rapture for you deserve an eternity of those moments of joy but i am here with you today with a single purpose set before me to be not your first, but your last everything to love you until the tomorrow that will never come which brings peace to my heart and a calm to my soul ~ ki ~ ******************** last kiss his sorrow turned to joy when he offered her his first kiss his joy turned to sorrow as he offered her his last ~ ki ~ *********************** To sample all of the available 'thoughts' of Ki you can find them here:
