The final chapter. The conclusion of a life well-lived. Or not. The end of the road. |
Ki on DEATH *********************************** DEATH You can’t get there from here And yet we can, at least it seems we can The reality is that I have no real idea what is going to happen. To the best of my knowledge, we encounter only two truly unique and intimate experiences in life. The first is when this journey of life begins at the moment of conception when our own ‘blueprint’ is engraved onto the concept of reality, and of course, the other is when that journey comes to an end, at least in the context of life, which we describe as ‘death’. What that actually means is somewhat vague and indeterminate at the moment. We may, or may not, find an answer to the question of what comes after. In any case, it is somewhat beyond our abilities at the moment. They say that death is the great ‘equalizer’. Certainly in the sense that no one has the ability to thwart or control when that end to this existence occurs, albeit that many have tried and failed to do so. Physical health can possibly extend our time, and intelligence and philosophy may give us an opportunity for insight and some degree of understanding, while money may soften the blow and make the journey there more comfortable, but none of them can change the inevitability of what comes to everyone, no matter their beliefs or desires. I think the whole concept of the ‘great equalizer’ has less to do with the ability to defray the costs and delay the actual event then it does in the inescapable truth that we all end up with the same result, and money and power are virtually irrelevant and non-existent in the paradigm that we experience after the fact. I, of course, have no idea of what constitutes the reality of death, and while I have put a good amount of time and effort into the contemplation of the concept, it, like the idea of god, is inconceivable and therefore we can never even begin to fully understand anything about it. We can think we comprehend the experience, much like empathy, but there is no factual evidence and no empirical data that can explain or even describe that which we cannot experience. You can run but you cannot hide. You can embrace the reality or live in fear of the concept. In the end, we will all take that last step, and death will be there to guide us to what comes next. Or not. There is a certain amount of interest in what that means, but I am in no rush to find out. And you? Death is impartial. It has no ulterior motives and it has no mercy. If there is anything in this life that ‘is what it is’, I would tend to think that death is that thing. It exists, it happens, and it is inevitable, and we will all get to experience it in due time. Is it the end of everything, or the beginning of yet another aspect of an ongoing existence? We can only hope. Until that time, ain’t life a bitch? ******************************************************************** today live for Today for Tomorrow we die but, as we know, Tomorrow never comes so do we therefore live forever? alas, the truth, we die Today ~ ki ~ ************************** death waits Time waits for no man but Death patiently waits for all ~ ki ~ *********************** regret I regret only that our paths are no longer one that we will not share the uncertainty as you take your next steps, into the unknown You are my very soul and will remain so . . . . always Forever and a day until we meet once again ~ ki ~ ******************** death death is but a breath, a moment, a thought there is no tomorrow, nor yesterday, or today it is an inevitable and expected ending and a possible genesis of a new beginning do not fear the smile of death nor seek its unique presence anticipation feeds the fear the time will draw nigh soon enough there is only today, the time is now do not live for death, for that brings no peace embrace people, embrace things, embrace life it is there your answers will ultimately be found ~ ki ~ ********************** moment Life exists but for a moment Death recognizes no time ~ ki ~ ********************** never death cannot rob you of the past for it lives in your heart the agony lies in the loss of the future memories never to be experienced never to be shared to never exist ~ ki ~ ********************* entrance death is the entrance to the tomorrow that will never come ~ ki ~ ****************** harm they who would harm themselves to harm their enemy receives no value and no benefit for their effort there can be no victory, there will only be remorse it is only insanity in the action and in the result there can be no satisfaction in winning when there is nothing to win no fulfillment in thinking if you have no true thoughts of your own no pride in leadership if there is no particular direction to lead there can be no contentment in being alive if you do not love life they who give no quarter should expect none in return those who wish to distribute hate and death must surely die love and hate will always be nothing more than a state of mind and you my friend will be the one who decides life is meant to be shared death is meant to be a personal matter ~ ki ~ *********************** yours I was prepared for death just . . . . . . . . not yours ~ ki ~ **************************** To sample all of the available 'thoughts' of Ki you can find them here:
