Can't Break Free

Thirty-Five years I was the queen of my world,
Always holding my proud head high.
The matriarch of my family,
Sharing and giving was my call.

Now I am the one who receives.
What happened, how can this be?
Lost in a world where I'm a stranger,
Now I'm a dethroned queen on a hanger.

Can not wake from this nightmare.
Once I couldn't wait to dream.
Locked inside, these brick walls hold me,
How I tried but I can't break free.

The lines on my face how they mock me.
When did these wrinkles come to be?
Time's been lost, it just disappeared,
Now I'm alone on this spinning sphere.

What happened, how can this be?
Lost in a world where I'm a stranger.
Now I'm a dethroned queen on a hanger.

In the night came a thief
And stole the essence of my soul.
Yes, this life has taken its toll.

Spin around, fall down, and get back up.
Oh, I think I'm gonna throw up.
Chaos running, securities hidden,
My mind has become my enemy.
