Man steals a bag of money from an armored truck
Escape Route

So, I was on the run...

I was pretty sure, nobody saw me fly by and take that bag of money, sitting on the ground, next to the armored truck. As soon as I bore left, down an alley, I heard the sirens. "Shit."

I don't even know what made me snag it. Desperation, I suppose, but it was a spontaneous decision, as the guard's head was reaching into the truck. I shifted my feet into a higher gear, and I was moving--fast. I reached the end of the alley, out to the sidewalk of 75th Street, but I was running at such high speed, I crashed into a guy in a black suit. Both of us hit the ground. The bag of money went flying, landing on top of a Chevy Corolla. I sprung up and grabbed the bag--to my left and my right, cruisers were coming, sirens blaring in the street. I was sure I was going down.

Out of nowhere--a guy on a Yamaha motorcycle pulled up right in front of me. "Get On", he said. For around three seconds, I thought about it. I mean, I had no clue who he was, but those cruisers were coming, and I figured, it's my best shot outta' here. I jumped on, my left hand holding the bag, my right squeezing the back of his shirt. He cut right through the middle of the two cruisers, as they almost hit each other. He shot down a different alley, and I could feel him increase the speed of the bike. The air was so thick, I had to lower my head. I thought I was gonna' fall off.

"Where are we going?", I yelled.
He didn't even hear me. I turned my head around, and both cruisers were right behind us. End of that alley, he slowed down and leaned the bike to take a right. I followed suit with the lean. I knew from experience, if I didn't, I'd probably fall off. Now, we were zipping down Kings Blvd, cruisers still in pursuit, and gaining on us. Up ahead, on our right was a fruit truck, which had crates of apples. I still don't know how he did it, going as fast as we were, but he got close, reached up, and pulled one down. I first heard it hit the ground, then I heard the first cop car smash into it. That slowed him down, and we were able to gain some leverage. From there, he kept taking lefts and rights. Down one alley, through another, more rights and lefts down side streets, and then he slipped into a parking garage. He went all the way to the end of it and stopped. We got off, and he just dropped the bike. "Let's go."

He started running. I followed. Sirens getting closer. I saw him pull out a car lock button. Bleep, Bleep--I saw brake lights flash to a black Cadillac. "Get in", he shouted. We got in, slammed the doors shut, and he said, "Get the hell down." I scrunched down, as did he. Sirens lit up the garage. No idea how many cop cars were in there, but it was definitely more than two. Finally, the guy looked at me, and said, "What's up, man? Don't worry, they'll never think to look here."
"How do you know?", I asked. They might check all the cars."
He shook his head, and then carefully looked over to where we dropped the bike. "You're kidding me?", he said. "These idiots are looking over the edge like we jumped off."

"Won't they track you, from the bike registration?"
Then he whispered, "What registration? That bike isn't mine. I knocked a guy off it, who was about to drive away. I turned and went around the corner to meet you when I saw you shoot down the alley. It was awesome timing, don't ya think?"
By now, my jaw dropped. I was in awe. "But how did you get the keys to this?"
He grew a big smile. "This car is actually mine, and I'm a cop. You have the right to remain silent"
