As I experienced all the pain
I hid it within my art
Not willing to trust anyone
It was fed to a fire

Ignored my pain by living life
Turning my back upon my heart

My wound festered and grew

Going about my days without desire
No love returned for my own

I finally faced it letting go

Life through truth hidden with lies
Giving your life in silence away

I now embrace facing my art

Held back by all my fears
Giving hope to others through art
