April is National Frog Month

When is the last time that you saw a frog?
It may have been outside, near a pond.
Most likely it had wet, green skin,
And was sitting near a frond.
Well this part of National Frog Month.
We should be happy that they are around.
They eat those tasty mosquito and bugs
And never gain a pound.
I smile when I see them swimming.
Their webbed feet can help them move so fast.
Then leap on the land to another place
And leave a predator aghast.
Some frogs have been found in fossils .
They probably saw dinosaurs on the earth.
But these animals were good at survival
And can show us how much they are worth.
