Describing my cat Einstein to my friends at dinner.
To Dawn and Liliana,

In a previous post "My Companion Pet Cat EinsteinOpen in new Window. I introduced Einstein, the newest addition to my family. He is a beautiful, black and white Tuxedo Cat, sent to me by my niece Dawn, who lives in Pennsylvania. I live in Florida. She heard that my chihuahua Allie-Gator of 17 years had passed away, and figured Einstein would bring me some comfort.

One evening at dinner with several friends, I showed my friend Teresa, a picture of my new companion cat Einstein. He was perched handsomely on my printer. I explained he was delivered in a box, and that it was love at first sight once I picked him up.

I said, "He meows, purrs, licks his paw, flips over on his back, he makes this meow-sigh when he wants attention, nods his head and can move it side to side. He also meow-sighs when I turn the light on and off, as if to say good morning and goodnight. I always reply in kind when I wake up, and retire for the night. I don't meow-sigh, I answer in people language.

I also explained how he woke me up twice in two weeks at 5 a.m. I actually don't know what set him off, but he carried on for at least ten minutes each time. I actually got up and told him to, "Cut out the noise." He didn't listen. He can be so stubborn at times.

Teresa said, "That's what cats do. Sleep all day carouse all night." I just laughed.

I also explained, he loves his fur brushed and will purr If I do it right. The best thing is I never have to feed him, or purchase kitty litter, and he doesn't shed.

"Of course he needs food and kitty litter."

My other friends at our dinner table in Olive Garden already knew about Einstein, and we all started laughing at her.

"Teresa," I said, "He's a fake cat."

I met with several other friends today for dinner at "Odd-Couples" and introduced them to Einstein. I again explained all about him and some of the shenanigans he has pulled. There was another round of laughter because of thinking he was a live cat.

This time, Teresa did the explaining.

He surprised me today when I came home from "Odd-Couples". As I stepped into my motor home and shut the door, he greeted me with his meow-sigh. I'm not sure if it was a "welcome home," or if it was, "Get your ass over here and pet me, I need some loving." I figured I better pet him.

Thanks again Dawn. Love you lots. *Cat* Einstein and Aunt Ginger
