Again With The Clown Already

As everyone is saying the same old thing,
They really are, such a lot of bores.
If I had my hand in everyone's pockets,
What would I find in yours?

I have always said that things are changing,
But truly, I am such a lying clown,
Whereas folk have eyeballs in their sockets
They cannot see my crown.

Comforting, yet strangely tedious too,
Did your wayward life just knock you sprawling?
Do you dream of travelling in rockets?
