Valentine's Day Rendezvous

On Valentine's Day
beaches are a lover's paradise!

We walked hand-in-hand
on the Pacific's wet sand,
as the waves washed over
our bare-feet.

We paused
listening to the crashing surf
before embracing
for a Valentine's Day kiss.

Palm trees beckoned
inviting us to rest
beneath their waving fronds
and watch the sun
setting behind the distant horizon.
