The Humorous Poetry Contest - November 2017

}Rolling the dice twice, turned out to be nice.
When the comma first met the llama,
it created much drama.
The llama began to snore,
when the prop landed on the floor.

Something went wrong when they wrote their song.
The verses were good, but the hearse was not.
When they lied, the meaning died;
it was now time to hide.
When their pride was lost, it cost them a lot.

Since it was an utter distraction,
their reaction caused them to take action.
They applied; it's been denied.
When they bought that goat,
they had a good reason to gloat.

It shouldn't have happened, said the captain;
the animals shook when the cake was baked.
I could smell the aroma
when I got my diploma.
At the farm, this was a cause for alarm.

It was fitting for the kitten,
to acknowledge what was written
The kitten was quite smitten
when it did some more knitting,
then, it decided it was quitting.

When the chickens began to peep,
the sheep were beginning to weep.
The dishes were offended
when they were apprehended.
For the Misses, her wishes came true.

Everyone knew about the gossip,
the more they talked, the more they grew.
Everything was meant to be;
the llama began to chew.
The comma drama was plain to see.

This is the end of their story;
there is no cause to even worry.
The comma loved the llama,
despite all the drama.
Then, the llama turned into a dear.
