A poem constructed of lyrics that mention the colour Blue. |
I've seen poems made of song lyrics before and they can look a wee bit random. Not sure if this works, but I have narrowed my selection to just a few songs, all with a connection – the word blue. Neither are they a random selection, they are all songs that I love to hear. Oh, Mr. Bluebird on my shoulder. How does it feel. Blue, Blue. Oh, Mr. Bluebird on my shoulder. It's the truth, its actual. Mr. Blue Sky. Blue Sky. Electric blue. Sing... Blue, blue. Blue Silver. That's the colour of my room. Mr. Bluebird. How does it feel To treat me like you do. You saw me standing alone. Blue, blue. Blue Moon The sun slips down bedding heavy behind. Mr. Blue Sky. Blue Sky. Electric blue. The front of your dress all shadowy lined. Don't you wonder sometimes. How does it feel. Blue, blue. For the record the song lyrics are from: Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah - Music by Allie Wrubel and lyrics by Ray Gilbert Blue Monday - New Order (Gillian Gilbert, Peter Hook, Stephen Morris, Bernard Sumner) Mr. Blue Sky - Electric Light Orchestra (Jeff Lynne) The Chauffeur - Duran Duran Sound and Vision - David Bowie Blue Moon - Lyrics by Lorenz Hart, music by Richard Rodgers The title of the Poem is borrowed from a song of the same name by Neil Diamond. |
