Wish for 2023

As I think about the New Year,
My family, whom I hold dear,
Freedom's gifting they shall get a taste
I wish for all of them good cheer;
And that all their dreams are made clear
Time's ebb shall never go to waste.
This, my wish, solemn and so sure
Until mem'res* alone endure.
