Life has come to Earth
.
.
Light has come to Earth
singing green ballads, beguiling
all of nature (in verdant bridal robes)
enchanting the birds, even in their trees.
.
Light loosens his (yearly) virgin lover
He soothes her, and gently turns-back the lips
of Her sweet soil, to scatter Spring’s seed.
smiling, uncovered, in gentle return from winter slumber,
She is aware of Her coming summer fruit, and of Light’s needs;
She is prepared for disrepute
in quiet churches.
.
all of Life then, it seems,
tumbles down, through this whole,
waiting souls queue within This Mother
and the firmament is aglow,
for how low Light has swung, has come so
(fearfully) close to Earth.
