Welcome to the Philippines and Enjoy your stay. In your return trip to your country, consider your travel and stay in the Philippines not complete if you have not eaten this delicious meal.

All members of our Family Circle can cook this Recipe easily, quickly and deliciously, but, all of us agree that our MAMA cooks the best ADOBO in the world..

So here we go, wear your Apron and be the best chef in town.

PORK ADOBO
Ingredients:
1 kilo Pork Belly, sliced
1 tsp salt to taste
8 cloves garlic , chopped
2 pcs. Round onions chopped
1/4 tsp peppercorn
4 cups water
1/4 cup soy sauce
1/4 cup vinegar
4 pcs. Bay or laurel leaves
1/2 kilo potatoes peeled, cubed
4 pcs.Ripe cardava banana peeled and
cubed.
Chili sauce. A dash or two optional

Procedure :

Put all ingredients in a covered pot.
Bring to boil. in a low fire, until pork is soft or tender and the liquid is saucy.
Do not let dry.
Add a dash or two of chili sauce if you want it hot and spicy.
Serve with warm plain rice.
We usually served it with an Ice Cold Coca Cola in a tall glass. Or a plain water will do as drinks.

Note :
For Chicken / Pork Adobo
use chicken and pork in equal parts like 1/2 kilo chicken/ 1/2 kilo pork using the same ingredients and the same procedure.


Excluding potatoes and bananas, you
may prepare using the same procedure :

Kangkong Adobo( Water green leaf
Plant)
Eggplant Adobo
Okra Adobo
Squid Adobo
