Cheering for you
As famous a food as buns or scones
As famous a band as the Rolling Stones.

Come winter snow or summer heat,
You've got the rhythm, you've got the beat.

Turtle, lizard, porpoise seal,
You'll hear them cheer, you'll feel them squeal.

You'll play to a full house, it'll go down in history
Seeing you live will be their precious memory.

In that amazing, energetic ambience
You'll play to a huge captive audience.

You're the rage on the stage!
Your visage on the front page!
The response is easy to gauge
They're as 'captive' as in a cage!

They're cheering, they want more
You stand up there with an encore
It's you, it's you that they adore
They're 'captive' that's for sure!

As famous a song as Jingle Bells
As famous a writer as HG Wells

The most famous song that hit the charts
Along with reviews, it also won hearts.

You made them hum, you made them dance
You made them shake it, you made them prance

But more, you made them think, feel and share
You made them pause to show they care.

And the reason you have them captive
Is that you show them what they can give.

Every being needs to be needed
This feeling is quite deep-seated.

And because you empathise
You brought tears to their eyes.

Each one felt - "I'm understood"
Fuzzy and warm, "I could, I would."

You made each one go the extra mile
And you made them feel worth while.

So - you're the rage on the stage!
Your visage on the front page!
The response is easy to gauge
They're as 'captive' as in a cage!
