A memory of my yesterdays

July is the month of preparing for the holidays and is called fair fortnight in Lanarkshire , and all th work places close. in my young days I would put a little more effort in the week before close down to earn more bonus in my wages. Every person in the factory where i worked waited impatiently for the wages clerk come through the door with the little brown envelope holding your holiday pay three weeks pay.. The year I was marred was on the fair fortnight,14th of July, I moved to live in Corby Northamptonshire Englandthe following year, but always looked forward to july for my friends and family visits.
