Just a poem on December 31. What a year!
Twenty twenty-one was not a lot of fun.
There were riots and looting as the year had just begun.

Mr. Covid was so deadly, causing hospitals to fill up.
But the shots for protection, made the doubters voice erupt.

The quarantine from school kept a lot of kids at home.
With many stores closed, they had no where they could roam.

The economy was crazy with inflation that made one cry.
The supermarket had bare shelves that baffled the FBI.

Tornadoes were just crazy as they leveled parts of many states.
The price of recovering is anybody's guesstimate.

The violence in our cities is more than just distressing.
And death of young children is a heartbreak and depressing.
.
I hope that this next year will put people back on their feet.
But with all the problems that are with us now this place is not like Sesame Street

It is working together, to rebuild as a United States we knew
To care and share with dignity and pride for a great year known as twenty twenty-two.
