Can you feel it?
Can you feel it?
I know you can.
I know what you are feeling.
What you are thinking.
How can this continue?
When does it end?
When will we find ourselves content
to call the other our friend?
Or perhaps I am wrong.
Perhaps I am of the few;
seeking to find a nuanced view.
Perhaps you are willing to fight,
feeling as though you are a part of something.
A part of something greater than you,
as if that makes you some glorious knight.
Some glorious warrior willing to fight,
willing to kill those egos, those parties,
those opinions, those views.
Altogether forgetting the main point.
Altogether missing the fact this tension
only ends in one direction.
Altogether forgetting, while you continue
to fight or kill your brothers and sisters;
you never stopped to ask yourself:
Is this the main picture?
Is this how you want to be remembered?
Instead of seeking the center,
you are just as extreme as your other.
