Anna: The world is brighter on the other side. Malcolm: Why is the world brighter on the other side? Anna: It has to be; these days the world isn't so bright; there is too much darkness. Malcolm: Terrible things go on in the world, is that why it's dark? Anna: Yes, I often wonder how long this world will last, because of all the calamities. Malcolm: Do you think that this is happening for a reason? Anna: Yes, in the end, times, the Bible speaks about what will happen? Malcolm: I've heard about the Bible, but what is it, exactly? Anna: The Bible is The Word of God. It tells about the time when Jesus walked on this earth. He died, rose again, and will walk among us again when he returns to earth. Malcolm: How can someone die, rise from the dead, and return to earth? When he arose, where did he go? Anna: This is what the Book of Revelation says in the Bible at the beginning. Introduction and Benediction The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave Him to show His servants -- things which must shortly take place. And He sent and signified it by His angel to His servant John, who bore witness to the Word of God, and to the testimony of Jesus Christ, to all things that he saw. Blessed is he who reads and those who hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written in it; for the time is near. Greeting the Seven Churches John, to the seven churches which are in Asia: Grace to you and peace from Him who is and who was, and who is to come, and from the seven spirits who are before His throne, and from Jesus Christ, the faithful witness, the firstborn from the dead, and ruler over the kings of the earth. To Him who loved us and washed us from our sins in His blood, and has made us kings and priests to His God, and Father, to Him be glory and dominion forever and ever, Amen. Behold he is coming with clouds, and every eye will see Him, even they who pierced Him. And all the tribes of the earth will mourn because of Him, Even so, Amen. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and The End," says the Lord, who is and who was, and who is to come, the "Almighty." Revelation Chapter 1:1-8 From the MacArthur Study Bible New King James Version page 1992. Malcolm: Thank You for sharing that with me. This answers my question; I have one more question, What will heaven be like? Anna: It says in Colossians 2:1-10 Not Philosophy but Christ For I want you to know what a great conflict I have for you and those in Laodicea, and as many as have not seen my face in the flesh, that their hearts may be encouraged, being knit together in love, and attaining to all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the knowledge of the mystery of God, both of the Father and of Christ, in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. Now, this I say lest anyone should deceive you with persuasive words. For though I am absent in the flesh, yet I am with you in spirit, rejoicing to see your good order and the steadfastness of your faith in Christ. As you, therefore, have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him, rooted and built up in Him and established in the faith, as you have been taught, abounding in it with thanksgiving. Beware lest anyone cheat you through philosophy and empty deceit, according to the basic principles of the world, and not according to Christ. For in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily; and you are complete in Him, who is the head of all principality and power. From the MacArthur Study Bible New King James Version pages 1834-1835 Malcolm: Many people in the world don't know about Jesus Christ, Our Savior, and the Word of God. What do we do about them? Anna: We pray for them every day, and share our testimony (our life) with them, where we were at before we got saved. Malcolm: Will sharing our testimony guarantee that they will go to heaven? Anna: No, but we'll know that we've done our part, and believe with our faith that everyone would accept Jesus Christ as Our Lord and Savior. Malcolm: I am so glad that you shared with me about the love of Jesus. It's nice to know that you can be forgiven of your sins, and wash them away. 800 Words Written by Anna Marie Carlson Friday, September 17, 2021 |
