Ascension of Baha'u'llah1

I awaken
to the memories of past commemorations
of the Ascension of Baha'u'llah--
attended by my mother and I
at the Baha'i Center in Las Vegas--
check the time
and smile.

It's 3 a.m.,
and time intone the Tablet of Visitation2.

It was at 3 a.m. on 29 May 1892,
the Sun of Baha
set on the material plane
and rose in the spiritual realm.

Now 129 years later,
in every nation on Earth
we--
the lovers of the Glory of God--
gather,
at 3 a.m. local time,
to remember His passing
and feel His presence
when we read
His Tablet of Visitation.
