The Writer as Wizard

I will create as I write
words of worlds unknown,
worlds of words
unborn.
Write or speak
or think
and it comes into being.
Conjured as in
divined.

Such power in words.
Rearranging letters
is called spelling
is it not?
Magic or of the magi:
we are wise
when we sense
we have not yet
the wisdom of the ages.

A word can change the world:
it has that power.
In the right ear,
at the right time,
on the write page--
a single word
is full of the possible.
