Honoring Our Veteran's Contest For January 2021
40 Line Count

Veteran's proudly honored;
You serve us very well.
You are to be commended
For all the things you do.

Protecting us takes courage;
It's brave in many ways.
You do your best to guard us,
To keep us safe from harm.

The military's speeches,
Are heard and trusted much;
You know the dangers out there;
You've risked your life for us.

Your service is remembered,
By medals that you've won.
You deserve a break today,
You've done your country well.

Far too many lives are lost,
This really shouldn't be;
If wishes could be granted,
I'd bring them home to you.

Young lives matter very much,
So let's not have a war;
Let's have peace this very day;
Let's keep our soldier's safe.

You've led us on to safety,
When danger comes our way,
You shouldn't have to worry,
About your enemies.

If we all come together,
Believing in our hearts,
With our faith, we'll have hope,
In this world of ours.

Every branch of service,
Is welcome here by me,
Even when you've been distressed,
I know that you'll be blessed.

When you're in your uniform,
I pray that you'll be warm;
Your example shines a light,
To everyone in sight.
