Between Two Worlds

Floating between two worlds,
No body...weightless,
Of no importance.
Where do I belong?

A battle rages,
As I stand by watching.
Not caring who wins.
Just wanting peace.

Somewhere to belong.
That someone cares.
In a world that couldn't care less,
A desire to care more.

Want becoming need.
Need, then desperation.
Desperate to be a part...
Of the whole.

Remembering my past,
So I can know a better future.
A better future will come,
If I know who I am.

My two worlds,
With one arm outstretched.
Reach for what I know,
Or face my fear...the unknown?

Subconscious means me no harm.
It's me against myself.
I know what to choose,
But chosen by whom?
