Strawberries

As I lay there in the moonlight
Alone and lonely as I can be
I whisper a prayer to the stars
Please, my Lord, let her hear me

Stranger
I don't know you
Just a few moments
Is all we knew

Stranger
I truely need you
For just a moment
Help me believe it's true

As I lay there in the moonlight
The darkness creeps in around me
I call out to the girl from yesterday
This is not how it was supposed to be
