Sarah has been looking for love but failed at every turn d
Sarah arrived at the restaurant a few minutes late, she was excited, Keven was the best prospect she had had in a long time. He was everything she had been looking for, tall, handsome; and made her laugh. She had been having trouble finding love lately. After she broke up with her fiance her love life was been in shambles. She knew from talk around town that she was one of the most desired women there, but, there had to be something wrong with her, men always left after she invited them over even before anything physical happen.

"This time will be different, it even feels different." She told herself, as she made her way to the door. She was wearing her best little black dress and her long brown hair fell in curls around her shoulders. Her heals tapped on the marble floor and her perfume mingled with the night air. When she got to the entrance to the restaurant the door man opened the door for her inviting her in, the smell of French cuisine flowed out teasing her senses.

She made her way through the restaurant to find Keven. He was at the back by a window that over looked the bay, the moon light played off the water making the sail boats look as if they were dancing to a silent song. He was wearing a sports coat over white button up shirt his brown hair cut short.

"Hey, there you are, I thought you found somewhere better to be." He quipped.

Sarah laughed as she sat. "No, My cat got hair all over my dress so I had to clean it up."

"Oh, I didn't know you had a cat. Whats its name?" Keven asked as he poured her a glass of wine.

"Sasha, I found her about 2 years ago, she was pretty beat up and way to thin we nursed her back to health." She replied.

As the date progressed they were lost in conversation and laughs. It seamed to be going great, Sarah was thinking of asking Keven back to her place for more drinks, but she was afraid to at the same time. Every time she did the guy would leave and never say why. Things were going so well that she thought that maybe this time he would stay.

"Hey, would you like to come over for a night cap?" She asked as they were walking back to her car.

" Sure I can follow you there." Keven said with a smile.

As Keven followed Sarah out of the city he thought to himself " Ok Kev this is your time you have a shot at sleeping with one of the hottest chicks in town. You have to hit it out of the park, don't fuck it up. Just hit it and your out. Then you have the bragging rights. ." They came to a neighborhood that looked like it was out of a movie. Trees lined the road, houses had huge yards and a good bit of distance between them. The smell of flowers and fresh cut grass filled the air. Sarah's house was a large 2 story surrounded by rose bushes. There was an almost magical feel to the whole area, the lamp posts lit the street with little halos that looked like they shimmered.

Keven got out of his car checking his wallet to make sure he still had his condom expecting more than drinks and conversation. Sarah met him at the door and pulled her keys from her purse unlocking it. "Come in." she said as she hung her keys by the entrance.

As Keven walked into the living room behind Sarah, she offered to take his coat and hung it in a closet. The living room was decorated with art from around the world, a large book case took up one side and a lounge taking up the other. The smell of rose and lavender filled the air. The dim light dancing off the dark wood floors made the place feel cozy.

"Have a seat I'll get us some drinks. What would you like?" Sarah offered as she walked toward the kitchen.

"Scotch if you have it." He said as he set on the lounge taking in the environment.

While Keven was flipping through a book he found on the coffee table he felt a small paw batting at his pants. He kicked out trying to get the cat to go away. Sasha jumped on the lounge and pawed at him again. He tried swatting her away but she move to his lip avoiding his attempt to dissuade her, putting her paws on his chest she stared him in the eyes making him feel uneasy.

"Sasha leave him alone" Sarah laughed at the site of the two of them having a staring contest. Keven looked up at Sarah with a chagrined expression. "I....I...um I have to go I forgot I have a meeting in the morning." he said as he stood up knocking Sasha to the ground.

Sarah walked after him trying to figure out what was happening tears filling her eyes as the pain of rejection pierced her heart yet again.
