A While Spent In Exile

Some may think that it is insane
If one desires to expand their threshold for pain
Some may think that it is strange
If one enjoys dancing in the rain
Some people seem so deranged
All for reasons that I cannot explain
It seems to be such a shame
All because so many continue playing such foolish games
Some are so empty inside
Though they still continue to strive in order to preserve their pride
Never letting others see the ugliness they would rather hide
Not even making a honest attempt
In order to rid themselves of their contempt
By choosing to not repent
The madness will never relent
Only keep on increasing in strength
Does not seem to make much sense
Always living under the gun does not sound like much fun
Though it has become the reality for some
Time to open our eyes in order to alchemize
The truth that has been disguised
Finding the real prize that was once locked away deep inside
The cavernous expanse of the mind
At last revealing the true purpose behind its grand design
It is now clear to see
Moments of eternity have come back to me
Souls of purity are now free to join in the revelry
It may have taken quite a while
Now that they have returned from exile….
