Children's poem about summer storms
The trees are blowing gently in the breeze
while children’s giggles scamper ‘neath their leaves.
Cloud ships are sailing by in seas of blue.
Look out! A thousand raindrops form the crew.
Blue quickly darkens into brewing gray
signaling battle is coming our way.
Smash! Crash! The cannons fire, the thunder claps;
the pirates attack with a brilliant flash.
The giggles quickly turn to squeals that flee
the seas, and seek shelter beneath the eaves.
