My thoughts tonight. Jan 25, 2019

Silence

In that other time
You didn't turn away
And found a reason
To say hello that day

And like I was told
We found true love
Our hearts were one
Blessed from above

But how could you know
That was why I waited
And how would I know
That I would be hated

Still I hoped somehow
During all of that time
I'd say the right words

And somehow
Somehow

You'd be mine

In that other time
They didn't turn away
Didn't need a reason
To be friends that day

And like I was told
They adored our love
And we loved everyone
All blessed from above

But how could they know
That was why I waited
And how would I know
That I would be hated

Still I hoped somehow
During all of that time
I'd say the right words

And somehow
Somehow

You'd be mine
