Sometimes when your daughter astral travels, she brings back things
Hearing a vague sound, Diane opened her eyes and glanced around the living room. The tv was turned off and all was quiet. She yawned and stretched her arms. Then got up from the recliner and walked into the hallway. She peered in the last room on the left to see Amy, her eight-year-old daughter, sound asleep in her bed. She was clutching something large, glassy and thick.

Diane got closer and gently retrieved it. An ashtray? Where in the world did she get this from? She remembered the bookcase, in the living room, filled with miscellaneous items. Oh, not again.

“Amy? Sweetie, where did you get this from?”

“Tennessee,” Amy mumbled. She lifted her arm up and onto her face.

"Oh lord, where in Tennessee?"

"Train…mmm…can I go swimming with Suzie, Mommy?"

"No Amy. Go back to sleep and don't travel again, alright?"

“Mm’kay,” Amy turned over and started to snore.

Diane sighed and went into the kitchen. She sat at the table and examined the ashtray closely. It was chipped and transparent, dark green. She took a pen, a piece of paper and wrote the words: "Tennessee train". She taped the paper inside the object. Then placed it on the bookcase in the living room.

“Another one for the collection, I guess. I don't suppose I'll find an address to return this one either, eh?" Diane smiled.

She glanced over the other objects, a maraca from Africa, a textbook from Korea, a porcelain cup from England. Amy brought back objects from all around the world during her sleep. Diane took a deep breath, “Not like I can do anything to stop her…” she turned off the tv and went to bed.
