Forgiveness,as people say, is the attribute of only the strongest.Let us learn that art..

The sky was blue,
The trees, green,
I hid behind the bushes,
My face unseen.

They called, shouted and searched,
High, low and everywhere.
A part of me wanted to go,
But my heart just wanted to stare.

I hid and waited, for the time to pass,
That evil hour, which stripped me apart.
But the more I waited, with each passing hour,
A big part within me, wanted to run out far.

But NO! My mind yelled,
They insulted you, called you names,
They stained you in the face,
All for all, they pushed you down the drain.

And what was my fault? I wonder
My clothes, my family, my poor breed.
They are princes from the palaces of glory,
Whereas I am the servant who has nothing to eat.

I clenched my fist, tears down my face,
I wondered how I could hurt them, one fine day.
And then I heard the moving melody, so sweet to my ear,
Something which moved me to the sky and washed away my fear.

‘Forgive them ‘it said, ‘let go of the grudge’ it ordered.
For no grievance is peaceful to your tender soul.
‘Go, face your troubles,’ it commanded. ‘Go on’
Let not a drop of hatred overflow from your bowl.

I sit, I wait. I am anxious and tense,
I choose to ignore the music but my heart knows better thence.
So I get up, slow, breathing in the air,
One step at a time, I walk up to take a dare.

I see them waving and calling, my heart runs far ahead,
Their faces are all smiles, apologies in the air.
It takes time for me, but I try to do my best,
My cheeks break into a laugh and I ran towards the rest.
