Odd, Isn’t It?

When it is dark enough, you can see the stars
twinkling in the night sky-
Diamonds scattered over black velvet.
Away from the hustle and bustle
Of busy city streets,
They glisten...too many to be counted!
How odd to think their brilliance
May have burned out long ago,
But their light is just now reaching us!
