He knows more than she suspects.
"Hi, sweetheart, here, I picked this up for you..

"Hi, love, what is it?" . . . what now . . . always gets right . . . why? . . .

"Something I've seen you look at like you wanted it." . . . damn . . . gotta stop that . . . Can't let her guess . . .

"Oh my god, it's that necklace I saw in Peterson's last week. It's gorgeous. I didn't think you were with me that day." . . . Susan was . . . how? . . . did she say . . . but . . .

"Susan was there and I stopped when I saw you two. I was after some pipe tobacco for Doug." . . . Uh oh . . . Doug tobacco . . . have to get . . . can't let her find I read minds . . . change? . . .

". . . how does always know . . . I love it . . . him . . . "Thank you sweetheart, I love it. It'll be perfect for the reunion next month." . . . just like grandmas . . .

"Yeah, Allison will be jealous. Always seems to me like she has to compete with you about something. Why? Never understood why siblings had to do that." . . . Allison is bitch . . . Art' . . . money . . . he can't afford . . .

"It's all about getting more and she always had to be the winner." . . . always . . . damn she'll see and know . . . grandma . . .

"Maybe you shouldn't wear it. She'll have to have one . . . bigger . . . and Art has trouble keeping up with her spending already."

"You're right, our grandma had a similar one . . . she loved . . . grandpa gave . . .that was stolen. We never figured out who took it."

"That's too bad."

"Yeah. Grandpa had given it to her. She loved it."

"When?"

"Their twenty-fifth anniversary. He was killed the next week. She never got over losing him then the necklace was gone." . . . almost killed her . . .

. . . Allison stole it . . . money for their house wasn't from Vegas trip . . . "On second thought, wear it . . . the shock . . . get confession? . . . you'll love her reaction."

. . . I will love it . . . "Okay, but ..." . . . it'll serve her right . . .

. . . it will that . . .
