A new addition for the next Winter Games - but could anyone actually accomplish it? :)

Passing the Torch to the Writers

Opening a new book in the annals of Olympic tradition, turning the page
to a new chapter: Creative Writing shall be a new inscription
on the list of confirmed competitions. Sub catagories of poetry, rhymed or not,
fiction, both the long and short of it and a combined sorte of literary challenges.
Originality will be the key to unlocking a vault of fresh ideas!
Surrounded by all the pagentry the Olympics provide--
a backdrop of inspiration,
a world of characters at one's fingertips.
Words will fly round as language reaches new heights
and all will benifit, giving voice where once silence reigned.

Imagine scribbling away at that challenge a day
the two weeks of the Games. The thrill of the victory; the agony of the blank page.--
the twin desires of being the best and writing to one's best abilities.
Cozied down in a leather chair, booted feet resting on the hearth
of the circular fireplace. Feeding off the energy of compatriots, encouraging and swapping
ideas, that searchfor just the right and perfect word.
Should be quite the game to fulfill all objectives.
to see who will rise to the occasion. Who will be
the golden wordsmith? Who will capture that ellusive idea?
Who will communicat words in a way never read before?

Words, speaking as loud as actions; inscribed for generations to come--
recognized, finally as requiring work, effort, blood and breath.
