A poem I wrote to celebrate someone new in my life.
It's funny how when I don't look,
Life turns around anew.
When all my hope had been forsook,
I suddenly found you.

Now it's too soon to claim it's fate,
And call you my true love.
We've only been on one real date,
My fair one from above.

But luck was there, both fateful days,
You walked into the room.
Each time my heart would catch ablaze,
And make my feelings bloom.

Yet even if this doesn't work,
And we're not meant to be.
I'll never think that you're a jerk,
You'll mean a ton to me.

For rising from the ashes did,
You cause my heart to swell.
So to your heart, my name I'll bid,
And only time will tell.
