One step, a heart aflutter
Timidly she took another.
Beauty bloomed in her wake
In fair wine’s comeliness
Of Roses and Nightshade.

Robed in folds
Of beautiful and bright,
Her spell fell undenied.
Her eyes spun oceans
Of love infinite.
In her content embrace
I closed my eyes.

She walked in bloom
Beyond compare and I,
Resigned to observe as
