Trying to alleviate a child's fear about the famed monster under the bed
Monster Under My Bed

I found a monster last night
As I climbed into my bed.
I heard him breathing
And wished he was dead.

The monster spoke to me
Making me jump out of my skin.
He wasn’t there to hurt me
My friendship he wanted to win.

I let him crawl up into my bed
And we sat and talked like old friends.
He told me he’d protect me
And hoped our friendship never ends.
