Revenge of Princess Peach - Chapter 1

The sky was pitch black in Toad Town, the capitol of the Mushroom Kingdom. There were many sounds in the night; insects, rodents, amphibians, and two figures snooping about in the royal garden of Princess Peach.

These two koopas had helmets and overalls on, a mimicry of miners. They both carried shovels, but one had a metal detector. The koopa with the metal detector hovered over grass, flowers, and bushes. They other koopa yelled out:

“What’s taking you so long!? We gotta find it!”

“Yeah, yeah, I know! Just shut up, I’m tryin’ to focus!”

They searched the gardens until the machine beeped. As soon as they heard it, the koopa holding it dropped it and both began digging with their shovels. They hit something and removed the extra dirt with their hands. They discovered a green warp pipe which they both entered.

At the other side of the pipe, they both are amazed to see a giant, iron door resembling a door to a safe. There were blinking, colorful lights and monitors showing most of Toad Town. One of the koopas turned to the other.

“I think this is it.”

“We gotta tell King Bowser about this one!”

They went back in the pipe and exit out, leaving their shovels behind.

They had entered a place, a terrifying realm of flowing lava, active volcanos, infernos, and a sky of thick, dark smoke, making the region be as dark as night. They crossed a brick bridge suspended over lava to a massive castle with many towers and statues of monsters. They rushed in to a room where a giant, turtle-beast with horns, red mohawk-like hair and eyebrows and a spiked shell resides.

“King Bowser!”, said one of the koopas.

“We found it! We think we found where it is!”, said the other koopa.

“Oh, so you THINK you found where it is, huh!?”, Bowser glares at the humanoid turtles as he walks.

“Yeah! It was near Peach’s castle, a huge iron door!”

“We don’t know how to open it!”

Bowser looks at them in the eye and turns his back on them, then he turns his head to them, “This better be it, or YOU two will be executed!”

The sky was blue in Toad Town. A happy place where many toads and other races lurk. Toads are a human-like race that are short in height and all having spotted mushroom caps on their heads. One particular toad has a pink cap with twin braids in the form of mushrooms, she also had a red vest with a yellow out line over a white shirt.

She was frolicking about in Peach’s gardens where she finds an odd orange flower with two small black eyes. She pulls it out and puts it into her pocket. A large, mint-colored bulb with two feet, a big nose, and a pink flower on its head walks over to her and speaks.

“Was that a fire flower you got there, little one?”

The toad looked back and sees the plant creature , “Oh! You mean... this?”, she pulls out the flower she just had.

“Don’t hold it too tight, or it will spray fire!”, explained the walking bulb.

“Alright, Mr. Flower.”, while taking to the flower, her hand tightened the grip on the flower and beings shooting bursts of flames over the garden, the bulb begins to run away and the toad drops it.

“Woah! What a dangerous flower,” said the toad, “But... it’s still pretty!”, she picks it back up and puts it into her pocket.

While exploring the royal gardens, she discovers an hole with two shovels stuck in the ground.

“Huh?”, the toad stared at the dug up area, “We don’t have monty moles in Toad Town...”

She walks over to it and finds a warp pipe. The toad jumps into it and exits out to see before her an immense iron gate with monitors at the side walls. There is a lever at the door, which got her attention. She went to it and tried to open the door, but it was locked.

“Why... can’t... it... open?”, but to no avail. She heads back outside and wanders throughout the garden.

The toad thinks for a moment and then, “I’ll go ask Princess Peach!”. she rushed to the castle entrance and passes through many people except one who halts her movement.

“Where are you going, Miss Toadette?” said the toad with the brown-spotted coffee-colored cap.

“I’m going to see Princess Peach, Toadsworth! I found something really cool!”

Toadette runs through the hallway and slowly goes through a very tall door which leads into an office. A woman with blond hair, a crown on her head, and pink dress sits on a chair looking directly at Toadette.

“Who goes there!?”, Peach says.

“T-Toadette, your majesty! I found a strange pipe which leads to this HUGE door!”

The princess stands up fast and slams her hand on the wooden desk, “WHAT!?”, she boomed, “How is that possible!? THAT ENTRANCE IS SUPPOSED TO BE HIDDEN!”

Toadette felt her heart race as she steps back slowly from the princess.

"WHO DID THIS, TOADETTE!?", roared Princess Peach.

Toadette took a while to respond to which she slowly said, "I-I-I-I d-don't... know..."

"You better know or I will charge you with trespassing in my garden!"

Toadette look around the room randomly, her lips trembling, "M-Mabey... maybe it was Bowser..."

Peach smashed her fist onto the table once more, "Bowser! That damn bastard was always after me! He must have discovered the entrance."

"The entrance to what?", Toadette walks closer to the princess.

"It is a secret to you and the others not involved... but I will tell you this." Peach walks toward Toadette, "What lies beyond that door is extremely dangerous and it can NOT fall onto evil hands."

"A-Alright, princess..."

Both Toadette and Princess Peach walked out of the office where they were see Toadsworth, who just talked to Toadette earlier on.

“Greetings, ladies! How is it going?”

They both ignored the toad and went to the garden where the hole was.

“Is this it, Toadette?”, said Peach.

“Yes, princess!”

Princess Peach sees two shovels which she picks up and throws them away, one of them hits someone where a short cry can be heard.

Peach ignores the voice and starts re-burying the pipe with her feet, “I will make sure that no one reaches the labyrinth, Toadette!”

Toadette looks around once more and sees two goombas edging closer to the princess.

“P-Peach! Lookout!”, she shouted.

“What!?”, Peach was then ambushed by the two goombas, but they are dealt with easily. Peach steps on one of them and punches another to a lake. Peach then suddenly looks at an fleet at the horizon.

“No...”, she said, “It’s happening again...”

“What’s happening again?” said Toadette.

“Run! We got to run now!”, Peach and Toadette make a run for it as the fleet flies closer to Toad Town. As they were running, a blast was heard. It was from a small, robed humanoid wearing a white mask, carrying a bazooka.

“Shy guys!?”, said Toadette.

“Yes! Those are shy guys! They’re wrecking havok on the town!”

And then, the fleet arrived at Toad Town, they were wooden airships bearing Bowser’s image. The fortresses began firing cannonballs and fireballs at the peaceful village, creating a war zone.

“Everybody's getting hurt, princess!”, cried Toadette, “We gotta help them!”

“No!”, yelled Peach, “It’s too late for that!”

Everywhere they see, it was no longer the town it used to be, now it was a hellish nightmare, fire, blood, corpses, and the return of Bowser. The flying fortresses were carrying soldiers such as armored koopas which they jumped off onto the ground and began killing innocents. Peach and Toadette were almost outside of Toad Town until Peach hears Toadette’s voice.

“Peach! Help me!” Toadette was captured by a bulky koopa with a helmet carrying an war axe. The koopa was holding her by her feet, hanging her upside down. Peach jumped in and began fighting the brute.

The koopa swung his axe at Peach, but she dodged it, having part of her long hair get cut off.

“You’ll pay for that one!” she said as she punches him in the face. The koopa punches back, but she grabs his arm and throws him down. she rescues Toadette and carries her and continues running.

“We got to get out of this place!” Peach explained to Toadette.

“Wh-why!?”, her body trembles.

“We have to! Or else-”, Peach and Toadette are stopped by the besieging soldiers of Bowser, they edged closer and closer towards them.

"No! NO!" From behind, Peach gets hit in the head by one of Bowser's minions, making her unconscious.
