The sudden feeling of guilt and hopelessness.
That momentary feeling of loneliness;
Where the faces of many flashed,
And they turned their backs in shame and grief;
Why, they asked.
I couldn't bring myself to apologise,
I only knelt and couldn't rise,
And it looked like it was my demise,
And why, they asked.

It hurt to know,
That those familiar faces knew I let them down;
I put on that face a frown,
And I only looked at the ground.

But the worst was my reflection,
Morose with my rejection,
Of life and it's beautiful afflictions.
And hers were the harshest words;
She turned away,
To never look back,
And then I came back to life,
After that momentary feeling of loneliness.
