Jealousy and Greed are consuming everything.
You see a glimmer of light, you Take flight, unknowing it is a blight. You come in on soft wings, but fall in the wake of demonic things. As you quake in fear of losing what you hold dear, left alone are you with a tear. As you run from the wavering gun aimed at a tainted soul you fall and lose hope, hope of leaving here. As you wake up in the bed which is red with the blood of the gash in your head. Endless insanity with all your humanity left in the ghost of a name that brought you to fame. A thing short lived but hanged it was for its need to be fed, fed by the things that now lay shattered, those things gone from the world broken and tattered. The things that matter go and replaced they are, by a foe. Gone are the days of a trial accompanied by that oh so welcome bright smile of friends you once knew. The ones you maimed and are met with shame of the way you treated them that was oh so far from a simple, mild jeer. As you lay down and prepare for you final breath. A raging fire, ignites in you chest. You jump up and confront it, the big ugly beasts jealousy and greed. No longer will you let them feed you grab them by the throat. No longer will you let them gloat! You swing the sword at them, the sword of hope. They fall to the ground sputtering their last breath. “Mercy, mercy we plead!” But you fell them, like a tree. But far are you from winning the war. You know, many will be back for more.
