I KNOW NOT

I once lived in my love’s heart;
now my address I know not.

How helpless I am in love,
my lover simply knows not.

I just wander aimlessly;
my own goal I yet know not.

A woman’s glances and hints,
what they mean I do know not.

Whether my love did love me,
or just faked it, I know not.

I live, but for whom I live,
even this I now know not.

I am lonely and forlorn;
what’s company, I know not.

I have been tortured always;
what’s sympathy, I know not.

Will my love ever come back?
Shall we meet, I just know not.
