White and Yellow

The day is bathed
In white and yellow.

The crowd moves along
As it would,
Shining a little more
On this white
And yellow day.

This familiar table
Is different every time.
It will take one thousand
white and yellow days
Before I can call them
My own.

For now I simply
Sit and watch.
An honoured guest
Of these white
And yellow days
