In the wind waits fate. I see it, I know it, and I find ways to express it.

In the wind
Waits
A wolf
Impossibly
Daunting
He
The wolf
Is all creature
Tedious
To imagine
Harder
To express
Words
Made incapable
Ideas
Inescapable
Such is
The horror
His eyes
Deep
His coat
Blackness
His fangs
Stained
Red
Is every death
Dealt by him
His soul
Non-existent
His heart
Emotion less
Darker still
Is he capable
Continually
He learns
Killing
Must not become
Mundane
It must remain
At least for him
A logical game
Predator and prey
Victimizer and victim
A beginning
And an end
In the wind
In darkness
Always
Does he lurk
Certain truth
Clear
And precise
His view
Unobstructed
He sees us all
While seeing nothing
Of significance
As much as we try
We are
And will always be
Prey
His persistence
Unabashed
Such a wolf will do
What it must
When it must
We are fools
To think any different
It’s always hungry
Despite such gluttony
Its overstuffed gut
Yearns to be filled
Long before digestion
Way before expulsion
Internally screaming
You must feed me
Regardless of desire
Absent of
Or define by purpose
It wants
What it wants
It must have
What it needs
Such a beast
All creature
Won’t be denied
I see it well
I know it better
Dare I say
Than most
A wolf
Impossibly
Daunting
Physical
The representation
Him
It
Fate
Never can it be
Ignored
Unchangeable
It must be faced
These tedious hands
Write aloud
Heavy are the scars
Burdened
Has become my spine
This weight
This load
Must I haul
For all of my days
Each of my nights
Fighting
In the wind
Nothing survivable…
