Now the New Year is upon us
Each of us can make it a fuss
Whether we succeed now or cuss.

Year after year we start anew
Each knowing the past is now through
After all what is there to do
Really your actions are on you.
Some start the year feeling quite blue.

Really now, here we go again
Even if we succeed what then
Somewhere in our life we all sin
Oh to go back to days of when
Life was new and we could begin
Under the strain and sight of men
To see where we were by year ten
It all had to be from within
Only surviving with our own skin
Noting we don't live in a pen
Something then makes us all give in.

Acrostic poem - The first letter of the first word in each line is a letter of a phrase or sentence. In this sentence the letters of the first word spell "New Years Resolution.

Also there are eight syllables in each line though iambic meter or any other meter was not my intention.
