Christmas (E) A Than-Bauk Poetry Contest Entry for December 2016. Rewritten September 1, 2019. #2104583 by Chris Breva
Christmas now wdc
words you see flow
to me this year.
Explanation: Than-bauk is an oriental poetry form. It has a staggered rhyme scheme with the rhyme in the fourth syllable of line one, the third syllable in line two, and the second syllable in line three.
This is not Christmas. It is September 1, 2019. I got a review of another version of this poem earlier, and decided to try to rewrite it.
I have recently discovered that strong poetry, or any writing, does not use adjectives, adverbs, or prepositions. Feedback welcome!
