On the verse "Be Still and know that I Am God."
Be still

The Bible contains commands and some of them are easily identified, such as do not cheat, not steal, and do not commit murder. Indeed, these commands form a basis for a criminal code still in place today. Fraud, theft, perjury, and murder remain crimes over 3000 years after the Ten Commandments were given to Moses. These commandments are so integrated into our civilization that we barely recognize their presence.

Not every command from God is remembered so thoroughly, though all matter. Commands are intended to instruct and guide. Just as a parent protects her children by ordering them to stay out of the street, God issues commands to care for and protect us. One of these less well-known is "Be still, and know that I AM God."

The first part of this command seems challenging and perhaps impossible in an increasingly busy world.
