Prompt: I recently read an article that said we should always set THREE goals for each day.
I’ve started doing so, but find that I rarely achieve all three. (Sigh.)
Still, it does make me list items that need to be done, and even though I often have to roll something over for the next day, the items do get checked off.
Write a poem or story about a person who decides to write down three goals each night, then attempts to achieve them the following day.
15 Lines
Mikey set three goals a day.
He started with goals like
Learn all the capitals,
Clean the garage,
And run two miles.
By week two, Mikey changed
To easier goals that he could do
Like wash the car,
Clear his e-mails,
And eat a healthy meal.
By week three, Mikey knew
To succeed they had to be
Get a pen and paper,
Write three goals,
And throw them out.
